International students pursuing a master’s degree in Ireland have the opportunity to work part-time while studying, subject to certain regulations:

Regulations for International Students Working Part-Time in Ireland

  • Students with a Stamp 2 visa can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and up to 40 hours per week during official holidays.

  • Holiday periods are standardized from June to September and from December 15 to January 15

  • Students must be enrolled in a full-time course at or above NFQ Level 7 that lasts for at least one year.

  • A Personal Public Services (PPS) number is required to work part-time

  • Students must have an Irish bank account for salary payments

  • Students must comply with Irish tax laws and employment regulations.
